[mostly for my own future reference, partially for your entertainment value] (copy-pasted from a few old replies)

this in no way, shape, or form is a "great" essay, nor should you emulate it under any circumstance.

opening paragraph: a cartoonish, almost surreal depiction of orange and red and yellow balls of feather bouncing up and down, clucking. i lift my head and look around, and see thousands of people gathered here, middle of nowhere

it was a fictitious account of my junior summer during which i supposedly went to some village in the forests of Congo and lived with the villagers and taught them french (this was my worst subject in HS, meant to be tongue in cheek, peppered in bad french, fringlish, and straight up spanish sentences here and there) (also, my EC lists that I went to a summer college during my JR summer)

while there, i realized that the villagers were so malnourished. solution? chicken! so i built chicken coops and started raising chicken until we had an abundant supply of chicken and eggs and villagers were healthy again.

but one day i got straight up bored and started racing chicken. realized this was hella fun. so out of the branches and leaves that my students and i gathered in the forests, we build a chicken racing track, complete with bleachers. people came from all over africa to see chicken racing. it vitalized the local economy (while introducing certain social ills that come with gambling).

but overall, the chicken racing was wildly successful.

last paragraph details the scene again. people cheering, "firing machine guns into the sky instead of into each other", people were well fed and there was peace in West Africa once again (region at the time was rife with civil wars)

meticulously researched, the name of airports, roads, even how the night sky looks (what constellations are visible, etc). but overall just a ridiculous story on how i brought peace and health to Africa by raising and racing chickens. came out to be 1000+ words, cut down to ~700 for most schools. defninitely not something i would recommend to a student now, for the inherent risk. but worked for me.

the essay did briefly touch on subjects of: education, development and globalization, hunger, civil war, gambling, etc.--all the bad things about the world that i could identify as a 좆고딩 (though never really expanded upon nor discussed). i also somehow worked in nuclear proliferation in there, but i don\'t remember exactly how. and i hope it was cleeeeeear that this was not real--but i dono. i hope they didn\'t think i was "lying". i also hope they didn\'t believe me. but if they honestly believed this could be achieved in one summer, or that i was trying to pass this off as truth, i guess they deserve what they got.
